Start with the place, not a checklist
Stone Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. UNESCO describes its architecture and townscape as reflecting the meeting of African, Arab, Indian and European cultures. That context makes a guided visit more interesting than simply collecting photographs of individual buildings.
Before you book, tell your guide what draws you in: architecture, local history, everyday life or food. A clear focus helps shape a route you will enjoy. You do not need to see every landmark in one outing.
Ask what your walking route includes
Ask Sule which stops are proposed, how much walking to expect, and whether any entrances are separately charged. If you have mobility needs, explain them at the enquiry stage and request details about surfaces, steps and opportunities to rest. Do not assume every route offers the same access.
A tour description is a starting point. Opening arrangements and access can change, so confirm the final route for your date. If there is one place you especially want to visit, name it in your enquiry.
Leave some breathing room
Consider what comes before and after the walk. Rather than adding several experiences to a single day, ask how much travel and waiting each combination requires. Tell Sule your hotel location and any fixed commitments, such as a flight or another booking.
Comfortable footwear, drinking water and sun protection are sensible items to discuss. Ask about locally appropriate clothing for your planned stops. Be considerate when taking photographs of people: ask permission and accept a refusal.
What to send in your enquiry
Include your preferred date, group size, hotel, interests and any access requirements. Ask for a written summary of the route, approximate timing, pickup arrangements and all inclusions. Request cancellation terms before paying.
If you are unsure where to begin, simply say what kind of afternoon you want. A slower visit focused on conversation and architecture can be just as worthwhile as an itinerary with many stops.
